This bead is part of my "Dream Catcher" series. They're fun to make but challenging at the best of times. If all goes well and the bead release on the mandrel doesn't break before I'm done, these take roughly an hour to make.
I make these with a variety of hole sizes. Initially when I sit down to make these I only have colors picked out and the design follows later. My ultimate plan with most of them is to mount them on some sort of metal and make them a real focal piece but like several of my beads, I haven't gotten that far yet!
That makes this bead another design element for another designer to work with.
This bead was made on a 3/4" diameter mandrel and is approximately 1 1/2" outside diameter x 3/8"thk. It is a beautiful ivory and amber.
I'd love to see what you do with this bead so when you're done please feel free to send me a picture and I'll post it in my soon to be created "Gallery by Designer"
As always, each of my beads are properly annealed in my digitally controlled kiln and cleaned and inspected by me to ensure it's quality.
