Masked Dots
Ever since I started making beads I wanted to learn the secret to making “masked dot” beads. This style of bead has an incredible amount of detail to it as each dot laid down is partially covered with another dot to create an intricate design.
The real challenge to making this style of bead is the design. I sit down with a pad of paper and a stencil and draw out my design so I can visualize where each dot needs to go and how much of each dot needs to be covered. It’s alot of work but well worth it I think.
This style of decoration can be achieved in a number of colors but I like black and white the best so far.
